Lugano: Il Nuovo Romanticismo in Lettere
"Lugano. New Romanticism in Letters" is the first collection of poems written by the Italian author Silvia Carnelli. Currently she is doing her PHD in Cultural Studies in Germany. This series of poems were created in the beautiful Swiss city Lugano. Inspired by the mysterious peace of the place - the ideal setting for meditation - the author projected her reflections about the goal of art/artist and the sense of life in her poems, integrating them with "classical" references - from the ancient Greek myths to European modern literature. From this point of view "New Romanticism in Letter" is not only a collection of poems in which the author expresses her own ideas about life, but rather it is also a great experiment with intertextuality - with the goal to integrate the most representative canons of poetry from the past into present literature.
