In this new ebook Vito Sibilio explains the principal constitutive element of Saint Tradition, the Patristic Theology, as Latin as Greek as Oriental. The history of this sacred thought and blessed literature has several parts: apostolic fathers, apologetical greek and latin authors, members of the Old and New Alexandrian School and of that of Antiochia, Siriac and Armenian fathers, monastic authors of East and West, testimonial texts of different liturgies, fathers of Latin antiquity – expecially Saint Augustine – and of Byzantine Later Antiquity, writers of Barbarian Latin West Age, authors of Carolongian Renaissance and of Feudal Age, teachers of Byzantine Scholastic, doctors of First Middle Age and of the Age of Saint Bernard. Of every authors Vito Sibilio speaks about theological and philosophical though, literary characteristic and specific peculiarity, putting in the historical, cultural and ecclesiastical contexts, with an eyes to his great teachers in these matters: Mondin, Gilson, Ewig, Beck, De Ruggero. The result is a series of portraits of great, middle and little fathers and doctors forming one united mosaic, that of theology of the First Millennium.
