Il Pinguino Che Amava Le Avventure is a bilingual English and Italian children's book that was written when the author was a 3rd grader. Originally published in English, it was translated into Japanese and Italian with the aim that parents, teachers, and educators will use this as their first bilingual children’s book edition for Japanese and Italian students to learn English. The author received the Best of Category: Tempe District #3 Writing Contest as a 3rd Grade public school student in Tempe, Arizona in 1987. Students from his 3rd grade class were all asked to create a picture book and nominate one winning picture book per class. They selected this book as the overall contest best winner.
